Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT), located in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, is a unique, premier institution established in 2001 by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It is the only institute of its kind in Asia dedicated to the advancement of carpet and textile technology.

The institute serves as a technical hub to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering. It operates under the administrative control of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and focuses on four main pillars:

• Primary Entry: Admissions are conducted through JEE Main scores via JoSAA/CSAB (All India Quota) and UPTAC (State Quota).
• Affiliation: Affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and approved by AICTE.
